15–120mm 8X Long-Range Zoom Cooled Thermal Camera
Infiniti’s cooled thermal cameras let you see further than any other night vision technology, using radiated heat rather than reflected light to see objects. This cooled thermal camera is equipped with Infiniti's new X-Hot MWIR thermal sensor, a revolutionary technology based on a superlattice design which runs at significantly higher temperatures than InSb and MCT, greatly reducing the workload of the cryogenic cooler. This extends cooler lifetime and minimizes required maintenance. A core sensitivity as low as 0.02°C, as well as its advanced DICE (Dynamic Image Contrast Enhancement) processing, defective pixel replacement, gaussian noise reduction filter, and automatic gain control (AGC) come together to create an optimized image with maximum clarity and contrast.
10μm X-Hot Cooled Thermal Imager
The high-sensitivity 10μm cooled X-Hot sensor features a resolution of 640×480 and an optional ultra-long cooler lifetime of up to 35,000 hours MTBF. The 10μm pixel pitch provides 50% more pixels on target than a 15μm pixel pitch sensor. A 120mm lens on a 10μm sensor is equivalent to an 180mm lens on a 15μm sensor, which makes this an ideal configuration for long-range imaging. The cooled sensor is able to detect differences in temperature as small as ±0.02°C. This provides more detail for tracking of targets at extreme ranges in total darkness and through most obscurants.
8X Continuous Zoom Germanium Lens
The cooled thermal core is paired with a precision-engineered ƒ/3.6 germanium zoom lens allowing you to locate targets with a 8X optical zoom range from 15mm to 120mm. This allows for varied observation of thermal targets by offering anything from a 24.1° to 3.06° horizontal field of view. The large diameter f/3.6 aperture lens collects over twice as much thermal energy as a smaller f/5.5 lens. These lenses also feature auto focus capabilities, resulting in crisp, clear images even when adjusting zoom. This ensures optimal performance and situational awareness in the wide field of view and crisp details in the narrow field of view.
Extreme Long Range Detection
Our cooled Mid-Wave Infrared (MWIR) thermal cameras operates on 3,000nm–5,000nm wavelengths where terrestrial temperature targets emit most of their infrared energy. Using the built-in Dynamic Image Contrast Enhancement (DICE) for increased contrast and image clarity, this camera can detect vehicles up to 13km away.* While thermal is a significant investment, it outperforms all other long-range detection solutions, making it the best option for many applications such as perimeter security, border enforcement and coastal surveillance.
